About DJ Ladymix

Hi! I’m Maxime Eikenaar Ijgosse, also known as DJ Ladymix.

I grew up in Spain and moved back to the Netherlands with my parents in 2013. Music has always played a big role in my life. I dreamed of becoming a DJ from an early age, and that dream came true in 2013. What started as half an hour of practice quickly turned into hours every day. I spent countless days behind the decks at Club Fame in Zandvoort, perfecting my skills.

In 2014 I joined the record label Punk Kids Recordings, and on April 20, 2015, I released my very first track: HALO. Later that year, the tracks Velvet, Dynamite and Louder followed. In the summer of 2015, I began my first bookings as DJ Ladymix, performing at Beachclub Vroeger in Bloemendaal, Club Smokey in Amsterdam, Hotshots in Amsterdam, Club Epic, and Discotheek Chin Chin in Zandvoort.

Spain was also part of my journey. Together with my father, I flew to Benidorm to perform at Club Bahamas, Red Dog, and Club Beachcomber. Everywhere I played, my father proudly stood by my side.

In 2016 I stopped performing for a year after the unexpected passing of my father. A year later, I became a mother to my first son, Jax.

Still, the call of the turntables was too strong, and I returned to DJ-ing. Soon the bookings started again, and I was back on stage at events such as Pride at the Beach, Dancing in the Street(s), King’s Night and King’s Day, Feestweek Lisse, Yves invites, as well as weddings, birthdays, kids’ parties, and corporate events.

Then COVID hit, and all work came to a halt. But Ladymix wouldn’t be Ladymix without making a party out of it anyway. Through social media I hosted weekly living room parties, live-streamed for many to enjoy.

In 2021 I became a mother again to our second son, Donn.

In January 2022, alongside DJ-ing, I launched my own DJ school: Beats at the Beach, designed especially for kids (and adults too!). It had always been my dream to teach children how to DJ and that dream came true.

On September 9, 2022, I married my great love, my rock, and biggest supporter, Nick.
